My Mother’s Day

…I had a really nice one. I know it’s late but at least it’s still May. :) I was fortunate to win a spa night. Yay, me! Thanks to Blue Felix, LLC, the pamper specialists for an awesome Sat night – Blue Felix really knows how to show customer appreciation! Attendees were greeted at the villa door by the beautiful, smiling face of Blue Felix’ owner, Felicia Alce. We were then invited in and welcomed by the staff. As we went through the door we received the goodie bags we needed to fully experience the evening – a robe, slippers, hair net, pedicure items and more. The evening looked promising. We changed and headed to the kitchen to snack and talk while awaiting our turn in the massage room. I snapped photos every now and then, between bites of fruit. Being in group A, I had my feet taken care of first. We soaked our feet in hot water while taking turns choosing our foot scrub, courtesy of Mary Kay and Armelle Loren. I, of course, chose the chocolate scrub. The accompanying foot massage left my feet tingling well into the next day! The back massage came next. Seeing a male masseuse emerge I was unsure whether to be uncomfortable or not, but I sucked up any trepidation and headed in. So glad I did!! Ducarmel, who also teaches movement therapy, was amazing! How could 15 minutes feel like both a lifetime and too short at the same time? Did I mention he was amazing? *sigh* I reluctantly got up from the table and forced myself out of the room. On to the next station for my facial. Felicia had us exfoliate our hands, lips, and face as she told us her story of how and why she chose to join Mary Kay. Next would have been makeover but my night had to end and the makeover put off until a few days later. It was 1 am that fast. We hit the road with tingles and memories. Apr 18 2011 – Supremacy Concert

We were blessed with All Access Passes to the Supremacy concert held this past Saturday night, April 16. With our cameras in hand we moved in and out of rooms, up and down aisles, and amongst many people. A few of our favorite event photos are below (some are on our Facebook page, with more to come on our website). If you were at the show and we took your picture, chances are you will see yourself here.

There were some special guests who graced the stage including Assel Jean Pierre Sr, Assel Jean Pierre Jr, Impact, Toni-Ann Singh, and others. (By the way, if you haven’t heard Ms. Toni sing, you are missing out. She did a rendition of “We Shall Behold Him” like no other I’ve heard before. ‘Breathtaking’ is a word that comes to mind.)

Supremacy is a Christian group made up of three men originally from Haiti. They have been performing together for ten years. They were recently signed with LaFace Productions and this concert was to not only celebrate the group’s 10-year anniversary but also to promote the release of their album, “I’m Free.” For more information about the group Supremacy you can find them on the web at http://www.supremacy4.com/ or visit them on Facebook. April 13 2011 -We’ve been happily keeping busy lately. Here’s what’s going on and coming up.

The Jump Off was awesome! If you missed it, you have to catch the next event by Lyrics & Melodies. When I hear about I’ll be sure to pass on the info. The pix we took are here. Much thanks to our partner in photography crime, G, for coming out and helping out.

By the way, I met Blue Felix at The Jump Off too! She had a stash of Armelle Loren out of this world. Everything smelled good enough to eat! You can find her here. Give her a call and treat yourself and your girls to a pamper party you won’t soon forget.

If you’ve missed us on Thursday nights we’ve been spending time at the Tempo Lounge in Hollywood with the owner, Carlos, and Lisa Leggz and the A.I.M. crew. June promises to be an eventful month, with the first event on June 9 being “Love Movement.” Stay tuned for more from A.I.M.

This past weekend was cool. Tonya Rose, President of Vice Versa Enterprises, was in town for a few days and I had the pleasure of photographing her in the hopes of getting a great headshot for her upcoming book. A couples of my faves are below.

This coming weekend will prove to be eventful yet again. Supremacy will be celebrating their 10-year anniversary along with their album release at 6:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale. Kaspinn Productions is excited to be co-sponsoring a series of events designed exclusively for the aspiring model! The first is a Model Mixer and How-to session beginning this Thursday, Mar 3, 2011, in Hollywood, FL. Founder and CEO of Lease A Star, LLC, Lisa Leggz, will be the featured speaker. Aspiring models won’t want to miss this event! The evening will begin with a mixer at 6:30 PM when models will be encouraged to meet and mingle, followed by the main topic for the evening which will be about “Breaking Into The Business: Do’s and Don’ts’.” The event will even include some faux shoots.
